This year the UK based charity, Smart Works, which focuses on helping women get back into the workforce, hired a selection of GH furniture pieces to decorate their pop-up store in Covent Garden. In partnership with the British Fashion Council & CapCo Covent Garden, the pop-up shop event ran for over a week on Floral Street, selling high-end clothing at discounted prices in order to raise money and awareness for their cause.

They raised an astounding 80k!

Smart Works is a dynamic and high-profile charity, which focuses on empowering women and preparing them for job interviews, delivering a combination of coaching support and self-esteem building practices. With an emphasis on dressing and providing clothing for that first interview; Smart Works helps transform women’s confidence and uses fashion as a force for good.

Alongside the rails of fabulous designer clothing on sale, the store was elegantly furnished with multiple GH staples. This included a pair of Midcentury Svend Age Eriksen Danish teak framed armchairs, dressed with blue cushions, pictured here.

The neutral Scandi style furniture from our seating collection, such as our midcentury cream wing back buttoned armchair, creates a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, whilst also allowing the garments to really shine!

GH were delighted to support this fantastic charity. We were founded by two female entrepreneurs and have an excellent track record of women reaching management and senior leadership positions - partnering with Smart Works to provide furniture for their retail pop-up event was a perfect fit for Granger Hertzog!
