Modern black Thonet chair

This new edition dining chair was originally designed by German-Austrian cabinet maker Michael Thonet and is arguably one of the most famous chairs of all time. In 1862, the coffee house chair (known today as model 214) won the bronze medal at the London World Exhibition and has been in production ever since. We stock a run of 8 with black lacquered frames and reinforced rattan seats. A carver version is also available for hire alongside a host of other bentwood rental chairs from our extensive seating collection.
