Last month, colour expert and colour psychologist Karen Haller hosted an exciting workshop at the Granger Hertzog London showroom.
Our team members were instructed to bring in two items: one in their favourite colour and one in their least favourite colour. The aim was to provide our team with a background in colour psychology and into the multiple ways we all relate to and interpret colour – both individually and collectively.
It was a unique and fascinating workshop which allowed our team members not only to learn about themselves and our fellow teammates, but also a greater insight into our client’s colour challenges during the creative process.
These are some of the GH team’s choices, selected from the prop hire collection.
Many other collective learning outcomes for our team involved finding out the importance of colour in everyday life: in the way brands use colours intentionally to influence our behaviour; the difference between light and dark hue stimulation; and colour psychology’s relationship to the animal kingdom.
As a bonus, at the end of the workshop, Karen was kind enough to sign her book ‘The Little Book of Colour’ for each of our team members- complimented with a glass of fizz!
Here at Granger Hertzog we love colour! Whilst we organize our furniture and prop collections in colour throughout the showroom for both aesthetic and client access purposes, we also create displays in tonal arrangements to spark inspiration!
